Kara Lester, Postpartum Doula
I provide caring and supportive postpartum doula services to new and growing families in the Eugene and Springfield Oregon area.
I am currently a Postpartum Doula, working towards my certification through Birth Arts International (www.birtharts.com). I bring my life experiences to help and support you as a Mama and new family. I've given birth to 3 beautiful, crazy boys... 1st a c-section, 2nd a long, hard, medicated labor and successful VBAC delivery in a hospital with wonderful midwives, and 3rd a fast and simple all natural birth in a hospital with our beloved midwives. I've also suffered deep loss with 2 miscarriages. I've successfully breastfed through challenges, including c-section and the aftermath of pre-eclampsia, latch issues, and being a full-time working and pumping Mama. So far I've breastfed all my babies past the one year mark (we're still working on #3 ;-) and am grateful for the support and education I've received from family and breastfeeding professionals along the way. I hope to share my passion for nurturing babies and their growing families with you.
